Cagliari (Sardinia)

THE NORTHEAST
The worldly centre of the Costa Smeralda are inarguably Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo and Cala di Volpe, not just because of the many famous people who come here in summer, but above all because of the fantastic white and pink beaches framed by sweet-smelling maquis bushes and granite rocks. Near the Costa Smeralda are the more informal places of Baja Sardinia, the picturesque Pittulongu, the lively Cannigione, the quiet Capo Ceraso and the charming Poltu Quatu. The former fishing village of Isola Rossa, with its sports harbour, is the perfect place for an active family holiday. The fine sandy beaches of the Golfo di Marinella are every beach lover’s dream, as are the bays of Cala Granu and Conca Verde. Located approximately 80 km south of Olbia is the Gulf of Orosei where the beauties of nature await you in the Golfo di Orosei Natural Reserve, which includes the Grotta del Bue Marino,

THE SOUTHEAST
Villasimius is a small holiday resort with pine forests and long sandy beaches. Cala Sinzias, San Piero and Cala Pira are just some of the charming beaches and bays in the vicinity of Castiadas on the Costa Rei. The village itself is situated at the foot of the Sarrabus hills.

THE SOUTH
Santa Margherita di Pula is a small village boasting long sandy beaches. Domus de Maria, on the other hand, is the ideal starting point for excursions into the forests of Sulics or Chia. And finally there is Pula-Nora, offering an impressive archaeological site as well as a lovely beach.
