Edelweiss Air AG was founded in Bassersdorf on 19 October 1995. The head office is at Zurich-Airport. The share capital is CHF 3‘500‘000; the shares are not listed on the stock exchange. In 2010, Edelweiss Air flew 1’000’000 passengers to the world’s most beautiful holiday destinations in 31 countries.
In November 2008, Edelweiss Air was integrated into the Lufthansa Group and is, thus, today an affiliate of SWISS. The company’s Chief Executive Officer is Karl Kistler.
Edelweiss Air combines utmost reliability with punctuality and friendliness at the best possible price/performance ratio. The safety of our passengers and employees is just as central as the enthusiasm of our guests for our excellent quality.
