Phuket powder white beaches and evergreen paddy fields in Thailand
Phuket is Thailands largest island and one of its most popular holiday destinations - and for good reason. It offers an excellent tourist infrastructure, a wide array of sights and breathtakingly beautiful beaches.
Dance the night away, venture on excursions to the neighbouring islands and take advantage of the ample opportunities for sports ranging from golf to parasailing. Phuket is where your holiday dreams will come true!
Thailands picturesque nature and exciting Phuket City
Bays framed by granite rocks, unending powder white beaches, evergreen paddy fields and shady coconut trees: this is not a fairytale from another world this is Phuket. Exotic fruits such as guava, papaya and pineapple sweeten your holiday between beach fun and bar visits.
Exciting Phuket City in the southeast, the splendour of nature in the southwest, an endangered giant sea turtle species on the beach of Nai Yan (which has been declared a national park) in the northwest and Kao-Phra-Thaeo National Park in the northeast: every corner of Phuket boasts its particular charm and offers many interesting sights.
Sights of Phuket - magical temple splendour
Phukets temples are truly splendid and include the impressive What Chalong, the What Tha Rüa with its golden adornments which shine exceptionally beautifully in the sun, as well as the strikingly colourful What Phra Nang Sang.
But the Thalang National Museum and the mosque of Bang Tao Mosque are also worth a visit, providing an additional attribute to your holiday in Phuket.
A culinary journey into the flavours of Thailand
They do exist, those hotels and restaurants that serve the kind of food you would expect to find back home. But what a shame it would be to miss out on the refined Thai cuisine!
Even if the spiciness of some dishes needs getting used to at first: delicious meat, fish and vegetable curries await discovery as well as dishes with sonorous names like yam ma-muang a tasty salad made of green mangos or khao yam pa tai a rice salad served for breakfast. Let it melt on your tongue.
And all of this is best savoured with a Thai beer or a thirst-quenching ice tea.
Spend the morning discovering villages still largely untrammelled by tourism. In the evening, join the crowd at the famous Patong Beach: Phuket makes all of this possible.
Look forward to a beach holiday with a wonderfully warm climate, turquoise-coloured water and superb food. Look forward to having a whale of a time- welcome to Thailand!

A cool lemonade on a hot day
The beach, the sea, the palm trees: a dream come true. But wheres that cool drink? Why not try to make a deliciously refreshing Thai lemonade?
How to make it? Squeeze out several limes, peel ginger and grate finely, add brown sugar and fresh mint and gently crush all the ingredients with a pestle. Fill up with ice and sparkling water and serve with lime slices. Tastes like the sun - simply delicious!
